چکیده

In this paper, a thorough experimental investigation of enhanced oil recovery via controlled salinity-biosurfactant injection under typical reservoir temperature conditions is reported for the first time. Sixteen core flooding experiments were carried out with four displacing fluids in carbonate rock samples and improved was investigated secondary, tertiary quaternary modes. The effect on during floodings compared at two temperatures (23 °C 70 °C) similar using types biosurfactants: GreenZyme® rhamnolipids. results study show that salinity brine (CSB) biosurfactant (CSBSB) improve relative to high formation (FMB) both low temperatures. At 23 °C, CSBSB by 15–17% OIIP conventional FMB injection, 4–8% CSB injection. increased 10–13% FMB, 2–6% Furthermore, increase system generally resulted recovery, irrespective type brine. have demonstrated time potential combined applications relevant hydrocarbon reservoirs. are significant design

An Experimental Study of Surfactant Alternating CO2 Injection for Enhanced Oil Recovery of Carbonated Reservoir

Core flooding experiments were conducted with the objective of evaluating near miscible surfactant alternating CO2 injection and the effect of surfactant concentrations on gas-oil and water displacements in porous media. The core samples were provided from a low permeability mixed wet oil reservoir at 156 °F and 1900 psia. In addition, very few studies of surfactant adsorption on car...

Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery Using Biosurfactant Produced by Alcaligenes faecalis

A bacterial strain (designated as Alcaligenes sp. MS-103) isolated from oil sample of the Aghajari oilfield in the south of Iran, was able to produce an effective extracellular lipopolysaccharide biosurfactant (1.2±0.05 g/l) on molasses as a sole carbon source. The highest surface tension reduction to level 20 mN/m was achieved by biosurfactant produced by cells grown on molasses under optimum ...

Low Salinity Oil Recovery - an Experimental Investigation

The idea of injecting low salinity water into a petroleum reservoir is not novel and was often used in the 70’s prior to the injection of surfactant. Yet, recently it was shown that simply injecting sufficiently low salinity water improves oil recovery (LoSalTM). Many possible mechanisms concerning Low salinity waterflood have been proposed in the literature. This paper describes an experimenta...

Effect of polysilicon nanoparticles on enhanced oil recovery in Iranian oil reservoir

Recovery Factor is an important parameter in determining commercial viability of the oil Reservoirs. Wettability is a major factor that affects oil Recovery. Therefore, changing rock wettability may enhance oil recovery. In this paper, the effect of polysilicon nanoparticles on wettability change of Iranian carbonate reservoir is investigated. To assess this, hydrophilic changes of carbonate ro...
